More about the Beagle.
Of all the animals man can find; dogs are and will always be a man's best friend. The Beagle is one of the friendliest dogs of the Canine's. They can get along with almost any other dog. They are pack dogs and do not want to be alone. They need much attention and exercise and just loves to please! They are good natured dogs, also with young children. They are also good hunting dogs. They were bred for hunting hare in packs, with huntsmen following on foot. Nowadays Beagles are sometimes used to hunt fox with hunters on horseback. They have an excellent sense of smell and if they get out the gate, will follow the scent of a dog , cat or other animal. A fence is very important to keep your beagle inside and a puppy can get out of a hole in the fence, so it is important to check the fence before getting a puppy. The Beagle's short coat needs no grooming, but all dogs benefit from regular brushing.
